It’s kind of surreal to watch the news and see the mash up of all the destruction throughout my own state and the jubilant celebration of the Royal Wedding half a world away. Some here seem miffed by it, but I find it a comforting reminder that life goes on. They are all pulling together in unity to celebrate, while we join together in tragedy. Some make comments at times like these that it takes a tragedy to bring people together, but clearly we also can pull together as people in joy as well. Hopefully, we’ll be having something to celebrate together here in the not too distant future.
